Rapid Growth of the Different-Location Transaction Volume of CCB Long Cards in the First Quarter

In the first quarter, China Construction Bank (CCB) performed 30.5206 million different-location transactions by using CCB Long Cards, totaling RMB 63.147 billion, an increase of 39.78% and 1.41% respectively over the same period of last year.

CCB’s cross-bank transaction volume between different locations still remained the leading position among domestic banks. Clients can settle different-location transactions by using bank cards in a safe and efficient way and have no risks to carry cash at hand. The increase of bank-card transaction volume indicates that the awareness of seeking quality life has been improved.

CCB has been enhancing the improvement of Long Card network to cover more cities and regions so that CCB can create a convenient and efficient environment for clients. Early in 2002, CCB can support different-location deposits and withdrawals and settlement in over 300 large and medium cities across the nation. And CCB is the first bank to offer bank card services in different-location networked transactions in Tibet among all banks in the nation. In recent years, to catch the increasing needs of Long Cardholders to settle different-location transactions, CCB has been always tried its best to streamline procedures to improve its efficiency with the precondition of risk control. In addition, CCB has been updating Long Card network to ensure the success rate of network transactions and aim for greater client satisfaction.

CCB remained a sound development trend in this year to issue bank cards and increased the transaction volume substantially. Taking the debit card as the example, CCB has issued 154.70 million Long Debit Cards till the end of the first quarter of this year, an increase of 5.26 million debit cards over the early period of this year. The transaction volume of Long Debit Card reached RMB 24.0 billion, up 50% on a year-on-year base, which hit a historical high.
