Since the China Banking Regulatory Commission approved big four state-owned commercial banks to sell RMB wealth management products and services, CCB had just spent 10 days to design and prepare its first RMB wealth management product—‘Lideying’. On Feb. 1, CCB started to sell this product through all branches except CCB Tibet Branch.
The design of Lideying is tailored to the market and meets customers and especially VIP customers needs. Thus, when CCB opened its door on Feb. 1, lots of customers had queued for purchasing this product. Only within 3 hours from AM 9 to 12, the first-phase Lideying had been sold out.
This phase Lideying has three-month and one-year term choices, with anticipated return of 2.3% and 3.03% respectively that are all 1.68 times higher than fix-term deposit interest rate of the same period. It will offer benefits for customers at the maximum. And in order to overcome the liquidity shortage of RMB wealth management products launched by other banks, customers who have bought one-year term Lideying can choose 3 dates to cash their products in advance.
