In recent days, we have observed that The Wall Street Journal ‘s report about CCB’s investment. It said “the plan calls for CCB…to invest $2 billion to $4 billion in convertible bonds issued by Bear Stearns. Those bonds ultimately could be converted into shares giving the Chinese bank a 10% to 20% stake in Bear Stearns.” CCB indicates that CCB has no plan for this investment and has no such discussions with Bear Sterns. CCB has no comments on this rumor.
