CCB Offers Mobile Phone Short Message Services to Its Wealth Management Card Holders

CCB launched the Happy Investor wealth management card mobile phone short message notice services on June 1, 2006, enabling card holders to be informed of their bank account changes, manage their card, make investment, manage their wealth and conduct entrust deals via mobile phone.

The wealth management card short message services cover 8 aspects:

I. Wealth management card current account balance change notice: whenever the balance of RMB and foreign currency current account of customers’ wealth management card changes at an extent bigger than the agreed minimum notice amount, customers will receive the mobile phone short message from CCB, such as notice on receiving salary and remittance, consumption, deposit and withdrawal and transfer.

II. Wealth management card term account (excluding call deposit) maturity notice: if customers do not sign agreement for the redeposit service of term sub-account of wealth management card, 3 days before the term sub-account is due they will receive short message notice, such as the maturity of lump-sum time deposit, fixed deposit by installments, education deposit and evidence treasury bond.

III. Wealth management card mortgage loan account maturity notice: customers will receive short message notice to make repayment 15 days before their wealth management card mortgage loan account is due.

IV. Wealth management card expiry notice: customers will receive short message notice to update their wealth management card 1 month before the card expires.

V. Wealth management card lost report success notice.

VI. Settlement Notice for personal foreign exchange transaction order.

VII. Fund subscription and redemption success notice.

VIII. Wealth management card short message fee withholding failure notice: customers will be informed whether the short message fee withholding is successful or not. If the withholding fails, within 5 days from the withholding date, their wealth management card short message services will be stopped.

It is said that customers can take their wealth management card and ID to CCB counter and apply for the short message services. At those business outlets which have offered short message financial services, customers just fill in one application form to sign for all the short message services.

Platinum and gold card holders will be free of charge to enjoy the services. Silver card holders will be charged RMB5 per month or RMB0.2 per short message. The charge may have a discount of 50% at most, which should be decided by local branches according to local conditions. A maximum free trial period of 3 months is offered.

According to CCB officials, it is the service purpose of CCB to focus on customers, strive to make innovation and provide customers with convenient, safe and sound financial services. The mobile phone short message services offer more convenient, flexible and sophisticated services to the wealth management card holders and enable them to easily manage their wealth in a real-time manner.
