CCB has issued a total of over 4 Million Long Credit Cards (Dual-Currency). As of May 31, 2006, CCB has issued 4,192,566 Long credit cards in total. CCB issued over 1 million Long credit cards this year alone, up 66.4% compared with the corresponding period last year. The consumption amount of Long credit cards exceeded 10 billion RMB and reached 13.73 billion RMB, 2.5 times of that last year. The Long credit card business is showing a pleasing momentum of growth.

Since this year CCB has reinforced the allocation of resource for credit card business throughout CCB and enhanced the integrated marketing according to the strategic deployment of credit card business. CCB kept focusing upon existing high-quality corporate clients and strengthened the card issuance through integrated cross-department marketing. Aiming at the clients of individual housing loans and wealth management, CCB adopted a series of measures such as joint application forms to streamline the application process and give full play to roles of branches as main marketing channels. CCB also intensified efforts on cross marketing by way of bundled sales and resident marketing. CCB reinforced the database marketing by fully utilizing the personal information of consumers stored in the database of the bank. Through telephone, letter and door-to-door marketing, CCB accelerated the efforts to issue credit cards toward high-quality individual clients.

  

The branches in major areas have established the direct sales team for credit cards. The direct sales team of CCB consists of 600 employees. The marketing ability of CCB direct sales team is improved considerably. Moreover, CCB also adopted some powerful measures to increase the consumption amount of Long credit cards, such as the consolidation of the overall marketing planning across the entire bank and the improvement of integrated marketing. CCB has increased the transactions and consumption amount of credit cards through a series of activities such as carefully organized large-scale theme marketing, reward points program, the installment marketing and promotion activity, micro marketing activity and the special activation of Sleep Easy Card. 

At the same time CCB keeps introducing new projects and services against an increasingly competitive market. The University Long Card was issued in 12 well-known universities such as Fudan University and Zhejiang University last year. This year CCB signed University Long Card issuing agreements with 7 well-known universities including Tsinghua University, Xiamen University, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and Jilin University. CCB also signed cooperative agreements on University Long Card with 13 universities. CCB has issued a total of over 100 thousand Long Auto Cards. There was a new addition of 39 thousand Long Auto Cards this year alone. There was a new addition of 400 clients for Long Business Card. CCB also conducted strategic cooperation with China Eastern Airline to issue China Eastern Airline Long Card integrating credit card services and aviation business travel services. The Well-known Corporation Long Card has been issued in such corporations as the Shandong Haihua Group. The introduction of a series of new products indicates that Long Debit Card product series are getting more diversified and such diversity creates a new development space for CCB to expand its business into a wider market and attract more cardholders.
