The first domestic brand credit card designed especially for university students University Long Card is launched. On June 10, 2006, CCB and China UnionPay held the launch ceremony in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Chang Zhenming, CCB President, and Liu Tinghuan, member of the standing committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of China UnionPay attended the ceremony.  

The University Long Card is especially designed for university students. It helps the cardholders increase financial knowledge, develop wealth management ability, accumulate personal credit and build the foundation for their future career. The card also offers a series of special privileges, including the student group purchase installment plan with zero interest and commission, minimum withdrawal service charge and free inter-city deposit. In addition, upon graduation students can get an authoritative credit report from CCB.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chang Zhenming said that CCB always attaches importance to cooperating with institutions of higher learning and the launch of the University Long Card will help well-known universities develop the credit sense and improve the quality of students. The card co-launched between CCB and China UnionPay is another major effort of the creditability education for university students. In recent years, CCB and China UnionPay have been maintaining sound cooperation in networking and building national brands. The launch of the University Long Card opens another page in bilateral cooperation.

Following the launch ceremony, Dr. Zhang Jun, a famous professor of Fudan University and Director of China Economic Research Center delivered a speech entitled Building Your Future with Credit to the students.
