The First Famous City Credit Card in China – Quancheng Long Card Unveils

Published time:2006-07-28

CCB and Jinan Municipal People’s Government held the launching ceremony of Quancheng Long Card on July 28, 2006, marking the birth of the first credit card in China designed by a domestic bank especially for famous Chinese cities. Fan Yifei, Vice President of CCB, and Wang Yicai, Vice Mayor of Jinan, attended the ceremony.

It is said that Quancheng Long Card is another major innovative product of CCB and perfectly combines CCB’s Long Card brand with Jinan’s city brand. The appearance of the card – three streams of the so-called No.1 spring under heaven Baotuquan – demonstrates the profound history and culture of Jinan, while the flying dragon symbolizes that CCB is striding forward resolutely after its successful IPO.

The launch of Quancheng Long Card well illustrates CCB’s “customer-centric” business philosophy. The bank not only offers the Jinan residents with an international standard credit card but also introduces the popular concept of credit consumption into Jinan. As a credit card up to international standards, Quancheng Long Card allows consumption in advance with dual currency and a maximum of 50-day grace period. Under the same conditions card holders with sound record will enjoy higher credit line. The card can be used in over 300 countries and regions around the world, which will help promote the brand image of Jinan city, raise the city’s domestic and international influence and serve as the “city name card”.

According to sources of CCB, over years the bank has paid high attention to cooperating with the government and in the future it will strive to deepen product and service innovation and provide the best financial services for the public as well as urban construction.
