CCB Named “2007 Best Internet Bank of China”

Lately, CCB's internet banking service was awarded the “2007 Best Internet Bank of China” title at the China Internet Banking Annual Conference 2007.  In the conference, it was agreed that, out of its strategic foresight, CCB’s internet bank was outstanding in terms of scale, in the degree of adoption of internet banking and in its potentials for development.  It was deservedly an industrial pioneer because its banking functions and website construction truly represented the highest standards in the industry.

As one of the activities of the “Joint Promotion Year for the Trusting Use of Internet Banking 2007”, the China Internet Banking Annual Conference was jointly convened by a dozen of so of Chinese banks including the Industrial and Commercial Bank, the Agricultural Bank, China Construction Bank, Bank of Communications, etc together with China Finance Certification Centre.  The aim of the promotion is to increase the public’s knowledge on internet banking, fortify their confidence in using internet banking and enhance awareness in self-protection on the part of users so that they can use internet banking with ease of mind and safety.  Currently held for the third year, the annual conference and is one of the more authoritative occasions for the Chinese internet banking industry.

As a new operating channel for CCB, internet banking is an important platform which improves on business processes through the use of information measures.  Throughout this year, by embracing a customer focussed and market orientated operating concept, CCB has been continually improving its internet banking business by fortifying its investment management functions; by the addition of investment management products such as investments in gold; by enriching information on investments; and by making the operating processes more personified, more acceptable and user-friendly.  By version upgrading, CCB internet banking is now more convenient by allowing 24 hour service and currently becomes CCB’s only service channel outside normal business hours for corporate customers.  Moreover, an outward linking platform has been established to allow connection to existing financial software by customers.  After reengineering, CCB’s internet bank has significantly improved customer satisfaction and is instrumental in further strengthening its overall competitiveness by offering more secured and user-friendly services to more customers.
